From Lima, Peru, Hans Tavera is a young guy of adventurous spirit, and has been in the music scene since he was a small child. Over the years, he has played numerous traditional musical instruments including the saxophone, drums/percussion, piano, and guitar. He focused his interest and talent on different rhythms and musical types and his passion for music eventually led him to like Dance, Progressive House, Techno and other form of electronic music. In 2003, he was allowed to share his passion with the people of Lima through a radio show at Spain.
In 2004 would be a very important year for his musical adventure, Hans was asked to perform at various clubs throughout Lima, sharing the stage with such international DJs as Wally Lopez, DJ Bruno, Shawn Rudnick, Tim Deluxe, and others.
In 2005, influenced by such electronic producers as Desyn Masiello, Nick Warren, and John Digweed, Hans started producing his own style of progressive house, techno, and electro music. He soon found a weekly residency with his “Lima Live Sessions” show at 2 Canadian radio stations: Club 246 and Chin Radio 100.7FM.
He traveled to Argentina in June, where he played in some popular Buenos Aires venues with local djs like Lyoko. Then performed in the city of Baradero at a music festival with Carlos Ruiz, a nominated DJ by Tiesto and one of the best Argentinian Techno exports, and finished his performance in San Pedro.
He traveled throughout Brazil from November 2005 to January 2006, where he played in numerous clubs in Rio of Janeiro and in the North on a festival as a headliner with local and international djs. His interview on TV Cidade (a local channel), had a solid impact for his professional career. In early 2006, Tavera was dedicated to his own productions and edits, focusing on progressive/breaks & minimal tech as his defined style, and his productions were played on such radio outlets as Frisky Radio, Proton, Danceradio, Pulse, Pure.fm, Plur.fm, and Tranceplantation (Russia).
That year he became a co-presenter with Augusto Siles on their Afterhours Radio Show on Doble Nueve 99.1 FM — the most famous and listened to radio station in Lima, Peru, which airs every Saturday night. Highlights from their show include interviews and guest sets from such prominent international producers as Luca Ricci, Jason Jollins, Perry O’Neil, Beckers, James Talk, Fabricio Peçanha, Ricky Ryan, Neil Quigley, Sam Ball, Deep Mariano, Gabo, Sean Quinn, Elite Force, Tim Davison, Demy, Sander Kleinenberg, King Unique, Moshic, Lützenkirchen, Christian Smith, Luke Solomon, Burnski, Pedro Puentes, Wahi, Stephan Hinz, Joris Voorn, 16 bit Lolitas, Satoshi Tomiie, Nick Curly, Miss Nine, and over the last three years, they have had more than 1000 guests.
Hans worked as an A&R for a record label called Fiberline Audio where producers were signed such as Andrew K, Ricky Ryan, Dj Bia, Dj Ceratti, Dj Paul, Dj Tim, DTolio & Odio, Federico Epis, Jaytech, KVK, Lemon, Matt Rowan, Mercurio, Micah, Narek & Danny Bullo, Ogi Gee Cash & Synchronized, Roger Martinez, Sam Mollison, Sean McClellan, Snake Sedrick, Steve Mill, Solesystem, Lokitas, Terry Grant & V-Sag. Nowadays he is A&R of the Serbian Music Label called Rezonant, having artists like Marko Nastic and Audionova, with constant support by the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Valentino Kanzyani, and Danny Howels.
In March of 2007, he traveled again to Argentina, to play in Buenos Aires, doing a tour called ADN, where he played near to 25 djs from there, and be part of the headliners near with Tarkan (Turkey), and Fernando Picon (Uruguay).
In 2008, he played with Techno legends Derrick May and Dave Haslam in Lima. Later that year, Hans performed at the prestigious Creamfields Peru, playing with DJs like Anthony Rother, Felix Da Housecat, Junkie XL, Steve Lawler, Sebastian Leger, Desyn Masiello, Satoshi Tomiie, Dave Seaman, Markus Schulz, Radio Slave, Carl Craig, M.A.N.D.Y and Martin Buttrich.
Hans Tavera has gotten great experience meeting some of the worlds top dj/producers, which has helped him focused on his fresh and unique sound when playing live. He inspires the crowds, showcasing a vast array of rhythms and styles, which has transformed him into a vital tool to excite even the most difficult-to-please crowds. His determination and passion to find and produce the finest quality music reflects off of the faces of those he touches with his carefully chosen melodies and productions.
