Exactly 20 years after their debut, the famous IL DIVO come to charm the competent Bulgarian audience with two magical shows – on October 4 in Plovdiv and on October 6 in Varna!
IL DIVO (“Il Divo” or “The Star” in Italian) is a super successful vocal group created two decades ago in Great Britain with the personal intervention of legendary producer Simon Cowell (Britain Got Talent), who was inspired by the sound and emotion of the mythical Three Tenors.
The quartet literally exploded with triumphant success and became a pioneer of the new genre called “classical crossover” or “popera”. Their formula subtly and artistically mixes famous opera arias, pop songs and evergreens into a velvety soft and stylish sound.

American baritone Stephen Labrie
Parallels between IL DIVO (“The Star”) and IL VOLO (“The Flight”) are often drawn in the media, but as much as there are stylistic similarities between the two formations, the differences are also distinct. Il Volo are three young Italian tenors who started in 2009 in an Italian TV competition, and Il Divo are an international quartet and are now more mature men, over 40. What is undeniably common between their concepts is the genre, as well as the phenomenal worldwide success crowned with packed halls on all continents.

For example, IL DIVO have more than 10 studio albums with platinum status and sales of over 30 million worldwide. They have 160 hits in 35 countries and their concerts with the first four albums alone sold 2 million tickets. Their first world tour goes through 60 cities in 18 countries, etc., etc.
This astonishing statistic was crowned in February this year with their special “XX: 20th ANNIVERSARY ALBUM”, which is also the reason for their next spectacular world tour.
