EXIT Celebrates 25 Years of Legacy! Sex Pistols, Tiësto, Loreen, and Eric Prydz Headline the First 25 Acts for the Milestone Edition!

To mark its 25th anniversary, EXIT Festival brings a fusion of iconic performers whose legendary acts have been etched in the festival’s history, alongside artists set to debut at the Petrovaradin Fortress, showcasing the future sounds of a new generation.

Headlining the lineup for the festival’s quarter-century celebration are the revolutionary Sex Pistols, a symbol of the punk movement that forever changed rock ‘n’ roll. Energized by Frank Carter, whose powerful presence breathes new life into the band, the Pistols remain one of today’s most electrifying live acts! Joining them are EDM trailblazer and global superstar Tiësto, renowned electronic music producer Eric Prydz, and two techno queens, Indira Paganotto and Sara Landry, who will deliver a world-exclusive back-to-back performance, their only one in 2025! Adding to the excitement are Hurts, whose emotional 2014 performance still resonates with fans, and Loreen, the two-time Eurovision winner making her Serbian debut.

The punk legends who reshaped music history, Sex Pistols, are coming back to EXIT Festival to reignite the defiant energy of punk rock! This iconic band, led by Frank Carter — former frontman of the legendary Gallows — will headline the festival’s 25th edition. Carter’s explosive performances with The Rattlesnakes have redefined contemporary punk rock, captivating fans worldwide!

Formed in London in 1975, the Sex Pistols pioneered the punk movement, altering the face of music and culture. Their sole studio album, “Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols” (1977), is hailed as one of the most influential records in rock history. Timeless anthems like “God Save the Queen,” “Anarchy in the U.K.,” “Pretty Vacant,” and “Holidays in the Sun” made them the voice of a rebellious generation. Today, the band comprises original members Steve Jones (guitar), Paul Cook (drums), and Glen Matlock (bass), with Frank Carter stepping in as the dynamic frontman. The Pistols will close the festival’s main program on the Tesla Universe Stage on Sunday, July 13.

Grammy-winning music icon Tiësto is synonymous with electronic music’s global dominance. As the first DJ to perform at the Olympics, he was honored by Dutch Queen Beatrix as an Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau. His album “A Town Called Paradise” (2014) redefined his sound, focusing on melodic EDM, and he was instrumental in putting electronic music on the main stages of festivals throughout the world, paving the way for stars like Calvin Harris, Beyonce, Coldplay, Martin Garrix, Black Eyed Peas, Post Malone and many others. Tiësto will open EXIT’s celebratory weekend on Thursday, July 10, with a signature set on the Tesla Universe Stage.

On the festival’s third day, Saturday, July 12, the Tesla Universe Stage will host Swedish pop sensation Loreen, the only woman to win Eurovision twice. Her hits “Euphoria” and “Tattoo” have topped music charts worldwide, while her unique vocals and unparalleled stage presence make her one of today’s most recognizable artists.

Returning to the Tesla Universe Stage on Sunday, July 13, is British pop duo Hurts, whose EXIT 2014 performance remains a cherished memory for fans. Known for their emotional lyrics and dynamic performances, Hurts have sold millions of albums and singles and embarked on sold-out tours worldwide. At the milestone festival, audiences will once again enjoy their anthems, including “Stay,“ “Miracle,“ “Illuminated,“ “Sunday,“ and the decade-defining hit “Wonderful Life.“

As part of EXIT’s 25th-anniversary festivities, the festival will commemorate one of the most pivotal moments in music history: the 40th anniversary of the first Live Aid concert. On Sunday, July 13, legendary musician Bob Geldof, leader of The Boomtown Rats, will join the festival on the Tesla Universe stage to remind audiences of music’s power to unite, inspire, and drive social change.

The iconic Eric Prydz will return to EXIT’s mts Dance Arena on Saturday, July 12, having previously captivated over 20,000 fans on the same stage in 2023. With timeless hits like “Opus,” “We Are Mirage,” and “Proper Education,” Prydz consistently ranks among the top artists in electronic music.

Joining the lineup are rising stars DYEN and Nico Moreno, representing a new wave on the techno scene. Their exclusive back-to-back set promises an unparalleled experience, blending DYEN’s raw Rotterdam-inspired gabber energy with Moreno’s deep basslines and dynamic melodies.

 

 

EXIT’s Visa Fusion stage will once again celebrate musical diversity, with Džoni Midnajt Trio, led by Serbian actor and musician Nikola Đuričko, closing the stage on July 13. Known for their innovative fusion of rock, blues, and jazz, the trio captivates audiences with virtuoso improvisations and high-energy performances.

EXIT’s 25th-anniversary edition will feature an array of new artists. Among them are Gloryhammer, known for their blend of power and symphonic metal, and Ki/Ki, a dynamic performer who seamlessly integrates techno, electro, and industrial sounds into an energetic whole. Serbian techno pioneer Dejan Milićević will bring his unique artistry, while The Drows offer a distinctive post-punk sound. Additionally, Meryl Streek will captivate audiences with darker techno sets, while punk fans can look forward to performances by Public Serpents, Runy, and Total Chaos.

The lineup also includes an exciting mix of up-and-coming talents such as Cosmic G, Drop Sensei, Hobin Rude, Lower Parts of Human Sludge, Ocean of Another, and Vlkn, promising a showcase of diverse musical styles and innovative performances.
